Batting Gloves

 

Batting gloves are usually all leather and have most comfortable three parts design (12 or 13 fingers) with cotton filled, extra protection on two fingers, high density foam side protection on lead hand, inner side high density, spongy side protection on lead hand and towel at back.

Latest designs with light weight pad made from the top quality imported cloth facing, high density, rounded foam filled construction, and side flaps back towel are available. They also have net on the bolster filled with high density sponge and integral moulded thigh pad, extra protection on top hat both legs.

Sheep leather is also used to make pre bent, cotton filled finger rolls and thumb, high density foam, side protection on lead hand with small 4 over flaps.


Cricket Balls


Cricket balls aren't made of a single materials. Rather it is a combination of different materials at different layers. Primarily they are made from a core of cork tightly wound with strings. Then covered by a leather case stitched such that the seam is raised slightly. Six rows of strings are stitched on a ball.

Weight: The weight of a cricket shall not be less than 5.5 oz (156g) and not more than 5.75 oz (163g).

Circumference: The circumference shall be within 224 to 229 mm.

Color: The cricket balls for test and first class level is dyed traditionally red. For one day matches white balls are used due to their more visibility under floodlights. The white ball swings a lot more during the first half of the innings than the red ball.


Shape of a Bat


• The main portions of a bat is the blade and the handle. The handle is cylindrical in shape and blade is flat.
• The handle widens into the blade, a broad wooden block flat on one side and V-shaped on other side.
• The flat side part used to hit the ball.
• The joint where the handle widens into blade is called the blade of the bat.
• The bottom part of the blade is known as toe.


Helmate


Batting helmets are lately being made of fiber glass to make them light in weight. These helmets with moulded cross line fittings are available in all sizes and colors . Impact resistant lightweight polycarbonate shell and high impact absorbing ABS outer shell covered with strong polyester cloth is used. The helmets include some or all of the following features :


Elbow Guard


Elbow guards are made from light weight cross linked polythelene moulded fit, soft absorbent towelled back with elastic velcro straps. Made from light weight EPE foam, pre-shaped in lycra-like stretch material casing giving evenly spread fit all around elbow, cuff at top and bottom.

This gives snug slippage free fit with solid polypropylene fibre insert for extra protection.

Thigh pad:
Made from light weight cross linked polythylene moulded in linen casing with elastic velcro straps. The soft absorbent toweled back, solid polypropylene fibre inserts for extra protection, pre-shaped, in linen casing, giving moulded fit.


Wicket keeping gloves



Wicket-keeping gloves are made from all soft leather, generous sized catching pocket along with gathered webbing prevents ball slippage. They have leather re-inforcement on high wearing areas of web fingers and knuckles and two large nylon net inserts at back for ventilation.

Batting Pads

The professional light weight bating pad are made from top quality wipe cleanable P.U. facing, high density rounded foam filled construction. They have high density sponge filled in vertical bolsters and bolsters covered with net.
Made from fine quality canvas, these pads are cane reinforced for extra protection and have cashmillon filling in cross bolsters.

Stumps


Stumps: Made from high quality wood, stumps are available in a set of three sticks, known as wickets.
Single Bails: Each piece of bail is made of high quality wood.
Double Bails: With two bails attached to make a single bail, these are made of superior quality of wood.
Stump Stand: Stump stands are made of malleable steel with wooden cricket stumps.
